Ingredients

 

4 slices sourdough bread

1 Tbsp olive oil

1 large tomato, sliced

75g ham off the bone

4 thick slices of Colby cheese

4 Tbsp Westgold Garlic & Parsley Butter

Salt and black pepper

Method

 

Heat a char-grill pan over a medium heat. 

 

Brush one side of the bread slices with olive oil and the other side with garlic & parsley butter. 

 

Place the cheese on the buttered side of the bread.  Top with ham and tomato and close the sandwich.

 

Place the oil side down onto the char-grill pan and place another pan on the top to act as a weight. 

 

Cook until the bread is charred and the cheese is starting to melt. 

 

Turn the toasties’ over and cook the other side.  Remove from the heat and place on a serving platter.

 

Serve with tomato soup.
